Sunday, December 7th
This morning I woke up rather early and rather than going to the mall to go shopping, which was my original intention, I went to Cafe Medici, one of the nicer coffee shops close to campus, to work on my programming project due Monday. It's extremely time consuming and stressful but I did enjoy a mocha and a poppyseed bagel, which lessened the agony a bit.
Somehow I am still feeling somewhat nauseous, so maybe I should have taken it easy a bit with the food this morning, but it definitely boosted my mood. I still cannot wait until I am done with school for the semester, because all I really want to do right now is bake Christmas desserts and spend time with my mom, but I'll have to push forward with my last two finals and this project first.
Later in the day, the Asian Business Students Association at UT held a banquet for the End of Semester event that I attended. It was nice to dress up and eat at a nice hotel, and just take a break from all the craziness that has been my life lately. Afterwards, my ABSA "family" went to Mozart's coffee where our "Big Sibs" gave us a Christmas gift and we watched the light show that Mozart's hosts each winter.
Mozart's was really beautifully decorated with elaborate lights and the 15 minute light show was pretty spectacular. It was kind of cold but I really enjoyed the atmosphere and I wish I could have spent a lot more time there. I did get to try their peppermint hot chocolate, but since I was in a rush I didn't get to really appreciate it. I want to at some point make it back to Mozart's during the day and spend the day studying there, it's just a bit far from campus for me to justify.
Afterwards, I finished up my project with my friend and headed home pretty late, and went right to sleep. Overall, a good Sunday.
