This morning I woke up rather late, and made myself one of my favorite breakfasts: whole grain toast with avocado & tomato. I like this breakfast because it's hearty, healthy, and yummy. Although I was not feeling well - I must have caught a minor cold - I was in a relatively good mood because I only had one class today, and also because I decided to check out a new place in West Campus called Monkey Nest. They serve coffee, breakfast, and lunch items and I heard that they had interesting coffee options so I decided to check it out.
I ordered the Nutty Irishman latte, which consists of a hazelnut and irish creme flavor, and I found it to be pretty satisfactory. I love getting lattes because they look pretty and taste nice and aren't too heavy. I'm a huge coffee lover so I've been looking for a place to get a good latte and since this one is close I may start coming here more often.
I've been talking about cutting my hair short for quite awhile now, but have been too scared to and too busy to find a time. But eventually my hair was long and unhealthy enough for me to look up a place in Austin that had good reviews called Aveda, and make an appointment. After class, I took a bus and despite being extremely nervous about this decision, I cut my hair. It's slightly past the shoulders, a little longer in the front, and I was in shock afterwards but I am growing to like it.
Before&After
There is definitely something refreshing about cleanly cut, fresh hair, and it feels a lot healthier. I'm spent quite a bit for the haircut and a product they convinced me to buy for my hair to reduce frizziness, but that's okay. I'm going to try styling it a little different tomorrow and see how that goes.
Currently I am procrastinating on studying, and feeling a lot more sick today but hopefully if I work out tomorrow I'll feel a bit better.
