Killeen | New Schedule

Tuesday, May 19th

Things I am already failing at this summer:

  1. taking photos
  2. writing more often
  3. eating regularly

Aside from those things, so far, since finishing my Accounting exam (which was killer, let me tell you), things have been pretty busy.

Friday was the gym in the morning, then boba with some old high school friends in the evening. It was really nice to catch up with them, because it has been forever since I really got to see them, and they are a lively couple so I always feel very comfortable and happy around them.

Saturday morning was the gym, then we headed to Killeen, Texas to visit my boyfriend's family. We ate at his parents' restaurant, Seoul Garden, for an early dinner / late lunch, then went to his sister's workplace, where they fixed us some iced coffees. Afterwards, he showed me around town, and I got to see a bit of where he grew up, which was really really nice, and in the evening, we went and saw Mad Max in 3D, which was an amazing movie.

Sunday morning, we went to his old church and met some of his friends from when he was in high school, then to his parents' church, and then we went to meet one of his old friends in his new house and met his son who is almost 2 years old.

Shortly after, we left Killeen for Round Rock, where we visited some more of his family, and ate some delicious Korean barbeque. In the evening, we were both exhausted, but went out for ice cream at Amy's and late night Whataburger with some of his friends.

Yesterday was just work in the morning - they hired a new accountant and changed up my office space so things are a bit different but not bad - and then out to lunch at Milto's, a Mediterranean place. Then I just worked out for a bit and did a hell of a lot of cleaning.

This new schedule is going to be an adjustment but hopefully things will be alright. I'm hoping for the best this summer and hoping that it is a lot more fun than last summer.

Positive things:

  1. Free coffee at work
  2. Sophomore year is done
  3. Been getting emails about internships and jobs
I might take on a second job this summer and do less hours at my current job, just to change things up and put some variety into my experiences.
