I have decided that nothing beats good company. Generally, I like to spend the majority of my time with friends and family, because I am somewhat of an extrovert and become unmotivated or lonely when I spend too much time in isolation. Then, after being in the company of others for awhile, when I do get alone time, it is much more relaxing and refreshing.
Today, I was planning to study all day, but because of a quick turn of events, I ended up going to Barton Creek mall to buy my new laptop with a couple friends. I am extremely pleased with this purchase, and no longer have to worry about my computer crashing during important assignments. Afterwards, we went to In & Out burgers. This was my first time, and having heard amazing things about this burger place I think I set my expectations a bit too high, but I did enjoy it.
I made it to the gym today with my friend for the first time since before getting sick, and it was somewhat depressing to see how much weaker and less fit I have become just in a couple weeks. I am definitely going to attempt to make it out to the gym more this week during study breaks, because I miss the feeling of making progress and destressing through a really good workout.
Overall today I am feeling thankful for close friends and being around people who genuinely enjoy each others company. I'm not looking forward to studying for finals, but hopefully things will go a bit smoother than I am anticipating.
