Studying | Galaxy Coffee

Sunday, March 1st

It's March!

I'm not sure what that really means but for now it means that tests are done.

Yesterday was boring- woke up, ran three miles, studied all day (got a lot done though), cooked dinner, and then in the evening, pretty late, we decided to go see Birdman at the Alamo drafthouse cinema.

This movie was phenomenal. The cinematography, acting, plot - just everything was extremely well-done. It was definitely a deep movie; I was very intrigued and it got me to think a lot about life, and what it means to love and live.

I woke up this morning really just craving a hot cup of coffee, but because today is Sunday and any lunch spot around town will undoubtedly have a longer wait than I have patience, we ended up back at Galaxy Cafe, this time the Triangle location (which I am more fond of).

I love Galaxy's sweet potato fries so I paired them with the Mediterranean breakfast - scrambled eggs, feta, tomatoes and basil with fruit & toast.

And vanilla flavored coffees were ordered. Let me tell you- this coffee was perfect. Good amount of sweet, good balance of flavor, and nothing added necessary. I have literally been daydreaming about it since I drank the last sip.

I know I seem a little bit too food-obsessed lately but it's just a good way to escape from school stress. Lately I've been feeling very distant from my friends so I've been finding ways to keep me inspired.

I have been cooking more lately, and spending less money as well but I know I could do better so I'm going to make it one of my goals. I think tomorrow I am going to write down a list of goals for this month just to kind of keep me on track.

There are some things I am really interested in learning / trying, such as yoga, video editing, learning a new programming language, and learning some new dishes to make. With school and work it's hard to fit these things in but I think this month I'll choose one and set apart some time each week to work on it. I think then I will feel more myself, rather than just my current monotonous schedule.
