Last night was the perfect way to spend my last day of break; my friends invited me and a couple others over to make dumplings together.
First we peeled and de-pooped all the shrimp, then rolled the filling, made by my friend who is pretty talented when it comes to cooking, into the dumpling wrapper, and then cooked them. They were absolutely delicious. Most of my friends who were there last night were Chinese or part Chinese, so for them making dumplings is a tradition, so it was nice that I could be a part of that for a day.
Unfortunately my camera ran out of battery right before we even started so I had to take photos with my phone.

Our meal: pan fried and boiled dumplings and mixed veggies
Afterwards, we played cards, and today the punishment for losing was to sing and dance in front of everyone. And...guess who lost. Yup. Me. It was fun though, and I genuinely enjoyed my night. I hadn't seen a couple of those friends in a long time so it was fun to hang out with them again.
This morning I had work at 8, so Starbucks in the morning was essential. After work, I had my first class: Art History, which I am suddenly not looking forward to - might be because she mentioned there is an average of 50 to 60 pages a week of reading... not really my thing...
My second class is Advanced Analytics Programming but I may try to switch that class to take Marketing instead with my friend. We'll see. I'm on a waitlist and pretty hopeful. Honestly that class seemed pretty boring so switching out wouldn't be the end of the world.
After class I went straight to the gym and had a good workout - I haven't run very long distances in awhile so I tried to push myself a little further today and it felt pretty good. I was pretty hungry so I just finished a PBJ and some applesauce and am drinking good old green tea while catching up on some emails and YouTube videos.
Not too sure what I'll do for the rest of the day but I am hoping I find something.
