Shake Shack | Job Search

Thursday, May 21st

I've been decent at saving money lately; I hadn't eaten out in awhile so on Tuesday, we went to Shake Shack, which I had been meaning to try since it opened a couple weeks ago. Annnddd...I loved it. The serving size is a bit small for the price but their fries are really good, the environment is nice, and I liked the burger a lot too.

I usually judge a burger place by their fries, because I love fries (my most unhealthy obsession, literally), and Shake Shack didn't disappoint me, so I was satisfied. We were kind of in a rush, so sadly I didn't take any photos of the food (so sad), and I ate a bit too quickly and didn't get to really enjoy it as much as I would have liked but it was great nonetheless.

Yesterday I met some high school friends for lunch / coffee for a bit, then ran some errands and had honestly a pretty busy day. I've been working out every day this week thankfully, so I feel a lot better about myself lately, but I am also constantly exhausted, being that I have work in the mornings and then it's been busy all week.

Other than just work and working out, I've been searching for new jobs lately; I'm thinking of taking on a second job this summer just to raise some extra funds and save some money. I'm going to have to be really stingy with my money this summer I think.

I really want to visit family, but because my brother is graduating high school in two weeks, I'm just going to wait until then. I just kind of feel like I need a vacation; I haven't really just chilled and felt at home in awhile, and I think I need it.

Still failing miserably at my summer goal of taking more photos - I don't think I've taken one photo since I finished school.

I'm also kind of sad I missed my sister's ballet recital; I always go and this is the first year I haven't been there for her.

But! Positive things:

  1. Getting back into the working out habit
  2. Free food at work today
  3. Brother is graduating
